Michael W. Nall
President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Nall has more than 25 years of healthcare sales and marketing experience, most recently serving at Clarient Diagnostic Services, Inc. Prior to joining Clarient, Mr. Nall served in the diagnostic and medical device industries in various commercial leadership roles for companies including Impath, American Cyanamid, Maquet Surgical, Strato Medical, Horizon Medical Products and Columbia Vital Systems.
Mr. Nall received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Central Missouri State University (now known as the University of Central Missouri).
Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations
Mr. Kennedy brings more than 30 years of financial and operational leadership experience, including over 25 years in the clinical diagnostics industry. Most recently, Mr. Kennedy served as Chief Financial Officer of Millennium Health, a privately held leading urine drug testing and pharmacogenetics laboratory company. Prior to Millennium, he held various leadership positions at leading companies, such as PLUS Diagnostics, Diagnostic Imaging Management and National Health Laboratories (presently known as LabCorp).
Mr. Kennedy holds a bachelor’s degree in Business – Accounting/Information Technology from Keane University.
Lyle Arnold, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President of Research & Development and Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Arnold is a biotechnology executive, entrepreneur and developer of innovative technologies covering therapeutics, molecular diagnostics, and genomics. The author of more than 50 scientific publications, he is the principal inventor of the chemiluminescent Hybridization Protection Assay (HPA) and associated technologies. Dr. Arnold holds 36 issued U.S. patents and more than 140 issued and pending patents worldwide. Prior to joining Biocept, Dr. Arnold has worked for various companies in the clinical and diagnostics space, including Aegea Biotechnologies, Gen-Probe, Molecular Biosystems (co-founder), Genta, Synteni, Incyte Genomics, Oasis Biosciences and UCSD Cancer Center.
He received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California at Los Angeles and a Ph.D. in Chemistry/Biochemistry from the University of California at San Diego.
Chief Commercial Officer
Mr. Hendrick, in his more than 25 years of diagnostic experience, has lead the commercial operations in both public and private companies. Previous companies that he has held similar roles have been PLUS Diagnostics, USLabs, Ventana Medical Systems and Abbott Laboratories. His most recent role was serving as Chief Commercial Officer at GenomeDx.
Mr. Hendrick received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Kentucky in Communication and Advertising.
Michael W. Brown
General Counsel, Compliance and Privacy Officer
Mr. Brown has more than 20 years of experience in providing legal, compliance and privacy advice to healthcare companies, including Clarient Diagnostic Services, Inc. (a GE Healthcare Company), Edwards Lifescience, InSight Health Services Corp. and Apria Healthcare. In addition, Mr. Brown has been involved in negotiating settlements with the Office of Inspector General, establishing compliance and contracting programs and is a national speaker on healthcare, compliance, privacy and corruption. In 2009, Mr. Brown served on the Medical Device and Diagnostic Compliance Committee for AdvaMed revising the current Code of Ethics for the medical device industry.
Mr. Brown received his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree (cum laude) in Political Science from California State University at Fullerton.
Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
A seasoned veteran in the molecular diagnostics and liquid biopsy industries, Mr. Terry has vast leadership experience managing large and small commercial teams. Prior to Biocept, he served as Executive Vice President of Sequenom, Inc., and more recently Trovagene, Inc. He also has held leadership positions at GE Healthcare’s Marquette Medical division, Lumenis Ltd, Aspect Medical Systems Inc. and Ligand Diagnostics.
Mr. Terry earned a BS in Economics and Business from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
Senior Director of Managed Care Strategies
Deirdre “Dede” Goehler has more than 27 years of experience in the medical and healthcare fields, acquired and cultivated through progressive positions at GenomeDX, Oxford Immunotech, Plus Diagnostics, Neogenomics, US Labs, Urocor, and Coram Health Care. Dede has built a strong career by creating successful approaches to secure positive medical policies for proprietary tests that were once considered experimental, investigational, or not medically necessary. She has developed successful appeals processes, obtained payments for previously denied claims, and built an extensive network of contacts within the healthcare industry.
Dede’s clinical training, managerial experience and leadership skills have helped develop her philosophy that the best interests of the client should always come first.
